Second Lecture Series: From the Euphrates to the Red Sea: cultural exchanges in the Eastern Mediterranean during the Byzantine period

The European Centre for Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Monuments (EKBMM), as part of its activities, which aim at the study, research and promotion of the monuments of the Byzantine heritage, as it was announced, organizes for the academic year 2023-2024 the 2nd Lecture Series*, addressed to the public, on:

From the Euphrates to the Red Sea: cultural exchanges in the Eastern Mediterranean during the Byzantine period

In this Lecture Series will be presented the results of studies concerning the geographical area between the Euphrates and the Red Sea and through the examination of monuments and written sources will be raised issues concerning, among others, history, architecture, art, worship and networks. The Byzantinologists involved come from Greece and Turkey.

Lectures will be held online via zoom, on Wednesdays, 16:00, free of charge for the
participants.
